After a long day on the road, we have arrived to beautiful Northern Michigan! Thankfully, some of the sunny, warm weather from last week has lasted through today, and even this far north! (I don’t think we’ll be so lucky later on in the week…)
We set up camp at the Wilderness State Park where we were one of two tents in the entire 160+ campground. It is glorious not having the campground full! Despite the colder weather at night and the closed restrooms/showers, it is definitely one of the benefits of being here before the “camping season” starts.
Randy and I biked the 15 miles from Wilderness into Mackinac City where we spent some time in the city before retiring to the tent.
Our sleeping arrangements for the next few days.
My car loaded up with three bikes and camping gear.
Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse just south of the bridge.
Just love that blue sky!
