We are excited to announce the birth of our first son, William Noah Greenman. He was born at 2:01pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, weighing 8lbs 11oz and measuring 19 ¾ inches. He is a healthy boy, and we were released from the hospital yesterday!
This week has been a flood of emotions: nervous excitement, fear of the unknown, overwhelming joy, thankfulness for the Lord’s blessings, exhaustion, and everything in between. More than anything, we are thankful that the Lord has entrusted us with Will, and we are incredibly blessed by friends and family both here in Peru and back in the USA who have been so helpful and encouraging along the way.
We know that this wonderful journey is just beginning, and as many people have already told us, we can now confirm first hand that it is an exhausting one. Even still, we are elated to welcome Will into our family, and we are looking forward to the adventures ahead.
Please pray for:
– Continued strength and endurance as we adjust to the rhythm of parenthood
– Will’s health in this first year of his life and a quick recovery for Kate
– Wisdom and discernment needed to guide Will and care for him
– That Will would one day grow up to have a personal relationship with Christ, and that Kate and I would be able to model that relationship for him in the meantime
Thanks for all the phone calls, cards, emails, and other encouragement that we have received this week. It is truly a blessing to be surrounded by such wonderful, encouraging people.
Now for some pictures:
Waiting to check in at the hospital to be induced
Long morning, waiting for contractions to start in the labor and delivery room
Ready and waiting…
We were excited to meet our child!
Contractions started, but the baby never dropped, so we headed off for a c-section
All set to meet Kate in the operating room and witness the birth
She’s beautiful–even on the operating table
Welcome to the world, William Noah Greenman

Kate’s not even off her IV, and she is already doing Will’s first photoshoot. Hopefully he likes having his picture taken!

Paul and I are so relieved that your baby finally came, and he is so beautiful and healthy. Chaclacayo is not just next-door or we would have been Many there immediately. Please give your mother a big hug from us. I do hope she doesn’t leave before we get to see her.
